The Association seeks to promote and spread Portuguese culture and language in Bermuda. Registered as a charity (#385), the Association runs the Portuguese School of Bermuda. The School is open to children of all backgrounds.
Registration and Minimum Donation
Thanks to the generosity of anonymous donors who wish to support expanded access to Portuguese instruction, our minimum donation of $500 has been temporarily lowered for the year as follows:
| If your student was registered with the Portuguese School for the 2023/24 academic year | $250 |
| If your student is a new registrant | $300 |
Payment will need to be made by Friday, 27 September 2024 to confirm your child’s attendance. Alternatively, you can split payment into two, with the first installment of $150 by Friday, 27 September 2024, and the second by Friday, 10 January 2025.
Our donors have also set aside some additional funding for a bursary programme for the parents of children who cannot afford instruction. This is to help us abide by our legal requirements under the Charities Act 2014. Please ask us for more information.
